This month, tantalise those taste buds as Chloé Davis from Chapel Down shares her local recommendations for the tastiest dishes, finest wines and stunning spots in the county…

What might we find you doing on a standard day at Chapel Down?

I work full-time within the sales team at Chapel Down. I am delighted to be part of the English wine making story.
My primary roles are communicating with customers on the telephone, inputting and processing orders. It is also my role to create long lasting customer relationships with both private and trade customers.
Most recently, I have enjoyed being involved with the Marketing team.

The suns out, where can we find you hiking or strolling at the weekend?

I love to visit the beaches in Kent. If it’s a sunny day, I would head to Botany Bay with a picnic.

Margate is great fun too, I enjoy the quirky shops and restaurants. I also enjoy visiting the Turner Contemporary.

When you have visitors, what’s does your go-to Kent itinerary include?

I think I’d like to do something FUN like Go-Ape at Bedgebury! Our reward would be a lovely relaxing Sunday lunch. Maybe we would drive to Tunbridge Wells and head to The Beacon.

Whitstable beach! During Summer 2018, I enjoyed some lovely long evenings sat on the pebbles in front of the sunset with friends and family. Paired with a glass of fizz and the sea air… perfect!

Personal favourite - The Lobster Shack, Whitstable

Tell us about a food and wine pairing you’ve discovered in Kent that has blown your mind..

I have a very sweet tooth. So I would have to choose a sweet treat from Juliette’s (Tunbridge Wells) paired with our delicious sweet wine; Chapel Down Nectar.

If someone had booked you a weekend in Kent, where would you be hoping they had booked for your dream night’s stay?

Sands Hotel, Margate. The hotel looks fantastic! Or Champneys Spa Hotel – Eastwell Manor. Beautiful!
