Mother's Day in the Wine Garden of England
In case you've not passed any card shops recently, we should probably remind you that Mother's Day is coming up - on Sunday 22nd March to be exact, and it's a pretty big deal. Mums work hard, and are rarely given the credit they deserve! But gifting for Mother's Day can be tricky - maybe you're after a really special present, or maybe your gift this year will be your time? What if you've got a mum who's busy on Mother's Day?! Our vineyards in the Wine Garden of England can help you out for the Mother's Day gift for every scenario - and yes, even for mums who don't like wine!
For an evening out
If you're after a special evening out together, Simpsons winery are offering succinct and scintillating sixty-minute winery tours and tasting on the Friday before or after Mothers Day, where you can tour the state-of-the-art winery and enjoy a guided tasting of Simpsons Wine in the Glass House Tasting Room. And it's only £7.50!
For something the whole family can enjoy, even the little ones, head to the Curious Brewery, Chapel Down's brewery for a meal for everyone - and on Mothering Sunday, mums can enjoy a glass of Chapel Down sparkling wine on the house.
For a special gift
For mum's who deserve that special something, get them a bottle of one of Kent's finest wines, delivered straight to their door. Specially for Mother's Day, you can order some of Gusbourne's sparkling rosé in a beautiful gift box with free delivery, or a bottle of Chapel Down's Bacchus 2018 'with a touch of sparkle' including gift box, personalised message and delivery for just £25.
For quality time
There's no better gift than the gift of time, and the Wine Garden of England has vineyards galore to spend your time on Mothering Sunday. head to Gusbourne for their vineyard tour, 11am-1pm and then head for a lovely lunch at one of their nearby pubs.
Or pop down to Hush Heath for their special Mother's Day event, including a vineyard and winery tour with glass of bubbly in hand, and then a sharing cheese platter of locally sourced goods. To make it extra special, they're also letting mums try some of the Balfour wines that aren't usually sampled!
For the full package
If you want the full package for Mother's Day, why not make a plan to do the Taste to Table experience with Chapel Down? It includes a guided tour, extensive wine tasting, 3 course dinner in the Swan Restaurant and a bottle of Bacchus 2018 to take home. This package isn't available on Mother's Day, but you'll be able to hand over a personalised voucher to let them know you've bought them an incredibly special day out - which can be sent to you, or straight to your mum.
For the mum who can't make Mothers Day!
We get it - mum's are busy women, and sometimes it's easier to plan a day in advance - or maybe you just feeling like putting a future date in the diary so everyone has something to look forward to. Biddenden and Squerryes vineyard tours start in April when hopefully sunnier days will be here! For an extra special day, Simpsons vineyard tours for two start in May for just £50 - and they'll give you a gift card for your mum to open now.
For the mum who doesn't like wine!
Yes that's right - The Wine Garden of England can even help for those mums who prefer a different tipple of choice. Chapel Down have got the Curious Brewery for those who prefer a one of their famous Curious Brews or a session IPA, or their Pinot Noir Gin delivered to your mum's door in a gift box with a personalised message.
Go on - treat your mum to something special this Mother's Day!
