The Wine Garden of England is golden; a picture of autumnal beauty. With the vines turning golden and leaves falling to the floor, wander the vineyards and hear the crunch of the crisp ground under your boots.
Harvest is over but that doesn’t mean the excitement has finished. Now we get to see the winery in full swing, with tanks and barrels full, bubbling away to create another vintage. You can even experience wine at its youngest, tasting it straight from the barrels.

Gusbourne Estate
Experience the fascinating history of an estate that dates back to 1410. Their “Discovery” and “Estate” tours will help you unearth the secrets of their beautiful vineyards.
The Discovery tour offers the opportunity to compare different grape varieties that go into making sparkling wines, learning what each contributes to the final blend. Investigate the impact the weather can have on grape growing and winemaking by comparing multiple vintages of the same wine, and discover how winemakers can create different expressions of the same grape variety.
The Estate Tour, offered on selected weekends, is a fully immersive experience where you will have the chance to taste young wines from the tanks and barrels in the cellar and explore the evolution of wine over time by tasting older vintages with bottle age.
Private tastings for groups of 6 can also be arranged on request.

Squerryes
Whilst tours have come to an end until dryer weather returns, the joy never stops at Squerryes! Private tastings are still available by arrangement in the winery for up to 6 people.
The Bottle Store Restaurant
A sparkling new addition to the winery. The Bottle store restaurant is an exciting new place to enjoy delicious food and wine whilst overlooking the picturesque 300-year-old estate. Serving seasonal and glorious signature plates; select cuts of prime meat and locally grown vegetables and seafood from their coastal waters are the heart of the menu. Curated by their estate chef Alexander Baillieu, a chef of 20 years, having learnt his skills under the guidance of the Roux brothers.

Chapel Down
Visit the winery and vineyard, discover what it takes to be the UK’s largest wine producer, and enjoy a tutored tasting of their award-winning wines before exploring the herb garden at your own leisure.
The Swan Wine Kitchen above the Chapel Down shop is open from Wednesday to Sunday offering a delicious seasonal menu. With 2 AA rosettes and a bib gourmand, this elegant setting is the perfect way to dine at the vineyards.

Simpsons' Wine Estate
Enjoy the stylish Glass House Tasting room, in a safely socially distanced fashion, overlooking the winery. Get the Simpsons’ Experience, with an introduction and history of Simpsons’ Wine Estate, and a discussion of their approach to growing high quality grapes and producing premium English sparkling and still wines. Followed by a relaxed and informative tutored tasting of their current releases.

Biddenden Vineyards
The shop at Biddenden is open Wednesday to Saturday 10pm – 5pm.
You can also enjoy Biddenden at home with their monthly Biddenden Box – Each month receive a different wine from their fabulous range, paired with a sweet and savoury snack, as well as a Biddenden waiters’ friend. A perfect gift for a friend, or even yourself!
