What to expect on your visit to the Wine Garden of England


The Wine Garden is delighted to welcome you back to our vineyards. Whilst Individual safety measures and guidelines can be found on each producer’s website, we are united in keeping you safe and healthy on your visit.

We have put together a few tips and some of the basic guidelines that will be followed across all the vineyards in the wine garden. The teams have been working around the clock to make sure their vineyards are a safe environment for you to visit.


Quick Tips

  • If you are feeling ill, please save your visit for another day.
  • Please plan ahead, the producers cannot accommodate walk ins for tours or tastings at this time.
  • Please regularly hand sanitise, there will be plenty available across all the estates.
  • Please respect others on your visit and adhere to all social distancing guidelines issued by the government.

Covid 19 Safety Procedures

  • All surface areas including tables, door handles, light switches, chairs, pens etc, accessible by customers and staff will be sanitised as often as required across all vineyards.
  • Hand Sanitiser will be available at every vineyard for both customers and staff, you are encouraged to use this regularly.
  • Toilets will be available at all sites, these facilities will be cleaned regularly adhering to government guidelines, and as often as required.
  • Signs will be clearly displayed with the safety procedures at each site upon arrival.
  • Tours and tasting must be pre-booked across all sites at this time.
  • Group spaces will be reconfigured to allow 1m social distancing guidelines.
  • Only card and contactless payments will be accepted at this time, card machines will be regularly sanitised.
  • Staff across all vineyards will wash their hands on a regular basis.
  • Government Guidelines on social distancing will be followed, this will be marked out where appropriate.
  • The “Track & Trace” initiative will be adhered to where necessary.
  • Designated routes and one-way systems will be implemented where necessary.
